Acoustic panel with light felt: I-Wood Denmark® launches major change.

Movable partition wall with wood panels

I-Wood Denmark® is now launching two new felt colors for their high-quality acoustic panels – beige and brown – as complements to the characteristic black and gray felt lines.

The acoustic panels continue to meet the same high standards for acoustics and noise reduction, as well as easy installation, for which I-Wood Denmark® is known.

"As an architect, I see great potential in the acoustic panels with the new light felt. The light tones combined with the wood contribute to a calm, warm, and welcoming environment. Creating vibrant architecture and cohesive projects starts with the detail and the material. So, it is definitely not the last time we will collaborate with I-Wood Denmark."

- Julie Ankjær, Creative Director, Partner & Architect at Skala Architecture

Tone-on-tone is a trend we can't ignore.

Project: Acoustic panels are known for their contrast and marked lines between wood and dark felt. However, in recent years, Nordic interior design has increasingly focused on tone-on-tone. This has been seen in homes where kitchen cabinet doors and walls in the same color create a sense of cohesion and calm.

Solution: The new felt colors in beige and brown are inspired by this trend and the desire to create an even closer connection between the acoustic panels and the spaces they are part of.

"By introducing these warm and welcoming colors, we invite nature inside and offer a palette that perfectly complements the golden oak, which our customers love so much. The broader range of colors also provides freedom to experiment and create personal expressions in any space."

- Casper Krogh Olesen, CEO I-Wood Denmark®

No unwanted flicker for the eyes

Project: At I-Wood Denmark®, it's about creating intelligent products and solutions with a focus on quality and safety. The acoustic panels and their effects should be designed for both the ear and the eye.

Solution: By reducing the contrast between veneer and felt, not only is an acoustically pleasant environment created, but also a visually calm space that you will love to live in.

"The market has long been dominated by grey and black felt in acoustic panels, but with beige and brown, we aim to challenge the norm and offer a new dimension of design possibilities. The decision is driven by the fact that visual harmony is just as important as acoustic comfort. For some, the contrast can create an unwanted flicker for the eye, a challenge we address by offering a more nuanced color palette."
